AKEIA BLUE, MPH, MS

Public Health Consultant

Akeia brings several years of experience creating brands, campaigns and strategic plans for a variety of clients, including non-profit organizations, pharmaceutical companies and government offices. Her thoughtful approach to consulting places high-quality client service delivery at the forefront of her work. 

Akeia's expertise includes health equity focused public health communications. An expert in multicultural marketing, Akeia uses learnings from the community combined with research and best practices to ensure that appropriate messages are delivered to communities in need at the right place and in the right way.

 

Akeia also develops trainings for healthcare providers that focuses on implicit biases, cultural humility and community engagement. These trainings include strategies for direct-to-patient communications and engagement of community leaders and trusted voices to share health messages. Her passion is to bring the clinical voice together with the community voice to improve health outcomes for those in medically underserved communities.

Akeia received her Master's degree in Public Health from The George Washington University. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated - Delta Zeta Zeta Chapter. Akeia lives in Prince George's County, MD with her 14-year-old Shih Tzu/Terrier mixed dog, Ally. When she's not traveling the world, Akeia can be found at home crafting and completing DIY projects around her house.
